Finally, after a year and nine months of intensive project duration: ZEDHIA is online in a beta version for everyone. 744 books with over 1.1 million pages now allow extensive historical research from the Economic and Business History of Central Europe, and the Central European Genealogy.

In the first version, ZEDHIA provides in addition to the full-text search in all publications – a data volume of 2 TB - inter alia a depth structuring of extensive metadata, faceting options and hyperlinks as well as a multilingual menu plus an innovative picture view with infinitely adjustable zoom. However, these functions are only the beginning. In the months to come, the ZEDHIA team will comprehensively strive for further development of the platform, with particular attention to the optimization of the user interface. In the fall of 2014 an extended version of ZEDHIA will be released.
